Amanda

Amanda holds a certification in both EMDR and Trauma Model Therapy, and has also been trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Background

After graduating from UGA with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, Amanda moved to Honduras and quickly realized that the primary need of the children she worked with was access to quality mental healthcare. Upon returning to the States, Amanda worked as a 5th grade teacher while pursuing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Amanda is passionate about partnering with her clients as they pursue healing and growth and aims to respect each individual with whom she has the privilege to work. She is honored to help empower her clients to face “icky” things from the past for the sake of freedom to live organically in the present moment.

She and her imaginative daughter are both avid animal and nature lovers and enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible with their miniature dachshund never far behind.
